It’s still March, so I’m thankful I’m playing down on the Cape, and I’m sure the Cape courses are appreciating my green fees. My one problem with Cape Golf is that they charge the tourists such high fees during the summer season that after the season is over that they still want to hit the worthy golfers with high fees for the rest of the year. This is why the golfing business is slipping. Yes, I am an accounting major. Bentley University taught me the business of supply & demand. Now for the golf course. Falmouth Country Club faced considerable tree damage with the March snowfall. My course pictures are pine trees down on practically every hole. The superintendent is doing the best he can with making the course playable. The greens were superb for this late winter. The course is relatively flat with only 3 water holes. Hole #3, 5, & 6. Hole#5 is the #1 handicap hole, and it is a par 5, 545 yards with wind usually in your face. I’ve only birdied this hole once my entire life. I’m hoping to do it again! Believe it or not, hole 5 is my favorite hole.

Staff is not very warm or welcoming. Do play favorites with some regulars.

An OK course, fair value, and decent conditions. Slightly expensive but on a Cape vacation walking on as a single, I can't be too picky. The staff was nice and got me on quickly, decent rental clubs.

After playing Cape Cod CC yesterday that still had some Country Club roots, this is more a Public maintained course with lots of traffic. Only had time for nine (9) holes so I paid my $30 9/cart ($44 for 18/cart) on this mostly flat, treelined and "Side by Side" layout. With the three (3) tees you can play from 6,535yds / 70.0 / 118 down to 5,764yds / 74.0 / 125 on this Par 35/37 layout. Fairways are mowed narrow but have a little room to stray until you get to the trees separating the adjoining fairways. The greens (7-8) are mostly average round in size with nice sand traps on both sides. The Front 9 starts out with a narrow 400yd, straightaway Par 4 with a Hcp 5. The #2 Par 3 at 175yds plays tough because of a narrow green and right front sand trap. The #3 Par 4 at 370yds is your most open fairway till you get to #7. The #4 Par 3 at 130yds is pictured in the insert above with water carry in front. The #5 is their Hcp 1 Par 5 at 545yds on this long meandering narrow fairway to a elevated narrow green. Boarding #5 is #6 Hcp 3 Par 5 at 500yds that has grassy waste area 130yds out from the green that forces a choice on that 2nd shot. The #7 380yd Par 4 has its green protected in the front by three (3) sand traps. The #9 is a straightaway 390yd Par 4 to a flat green that has four (4) traps to challenge that approach shot. Enjoyed playing here today and shooting 38 w/15putts on this nice open treelined course. Back 9 looked the same as #1 & #9 as being mostly flat and "Side by Side" layout.
